Psalm 23
23 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul:
Probably the most important and urgent thing to the Lord right now is restoring the souls in the lives of his people. It is the most critical thing that keeps the church from maturity, hearing the lord, and being the light that she should be.
The Hebrew word restore means to repair, bring back, or fix. The word soul is the seat of emotions and passion
. So the soul is the center of the will and emotions and connects directly to the mind. Whether you realize it or not, there is a black veil or clock that wraps around all of our souls, and it is made up of a lifetime of words or deeds spoken or done to you, and they continue to affect you.
The pain that was created by words and deeds in your life is still there, and the lord can deal with it. Depending upon what and how they were caused sometimes requires repentance on your part to rid you of them. So, the lord will take you back to a place in your life with a circumstance that will touch one of those places in you, and ironically at the same time, it will release those hurts and wombs into your emotions. If you do not realize what’s going on, you will treat it as a present-day event, and most of the time it is not it is simply something in the present that has unleashed something from the past.
Each of us has hurtful situations in our past, and even when they are not in our conscious thoughts, they still affect us if we have not healed of them. If you’re not careful, the enemy will take past situations in your life and try to destroy present-day relationships. You see, hurtful things of the past are obscuring who you really are. Many of the people who spoke or did these things to you did not realize they were not speaking the truth about your life or God’s ordained destiny for you.
They were really speaking the enemy’s intentions over you, which applies to all of us. While we are speaking of this, allow Holy Spirit to reveal areas of your life affected by lies, untruths, and nonworking words. Ask God to begin to heal them now. As you can see, good and bad words can affect you.
SOUL HEALING
There are four ways that our lord heals our souls:
1. He can wave his hand over a person’s soul and heal them immediately
2. We can listen to the truth, continually renewing our minds until the lies we
Believing about ourselves is replaced with the truth.
3. We can pray in the spirit until our inner man or spirit becomes so powerful
He over-throws the soul with its mind, will, and emotions and becomes.
The dominant influence.
4. We can also receive healing through the process of Godly counseling.
As Peter tells us, the healing process begins when you give them to him when you know that they are there or believe what he says about you.
1 Peter 5:7
7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
Remember to help people be successful. Don’t speak against them whether they are saved or not. Your words can go out and bind them and hinder the lord’s work in their lives. In in the life of the unsaved stay away from destructive criticism, because he is working to bring them to a point of repentance and salvation and your words can slow down that process. Your words can help or hinder the angels as they work in a person’s life; doing the right thing will cause you to work in the supernatural with the angels of God.
Jude
17 But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ.
18 How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.
19 These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.
20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
Notice what Paul told Jude, these mockers, what are they armed with, words, and they are speaking against the truth, which is God’s appointed destiny for you. Yet he tells you the single most important thing you can do to walk in the supernatural and heal or help restore your soul is praying in the Holy Ghost. Building or fortifying yourself in the Holy Ghost will keep you in the love of God. It will, the love of God, purify or cleanse your soul. Praying in the spirit releases the spirit of revelation in your life that will bring your soul into the purposes of God.
1 Corinthians 2:4-5
4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:
5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? Even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ.
By praying in the spirit, we yield to a process through which God communicates his heart to us. Praying in the spirit can bring the actual heart of God into us and make it possible for us to express those wonderful truths in the physical realm.
SPIRIT POWER
The Bible tells us the same power that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you (rom.8:1). Think about that for a minute, You have supernatural power within you because the spirit of God lives in you. That includes showing you things to come about your life; you can’t have a prosperous or restored soul without that happening.
Psalm 139:16 (NLT)
16 You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.
Every person on earth has a book written about them in heaven, God created every person with a plan and purpose in mind. He wrote about each day of your life long ago in a book with your name on it located on a bookshelf in heaven.
Revelation 20:12 (NLT)
12 I saw the dead, both great and small, standing before God’s throne. And the books were opened, including the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to what they had done, as recorded in the books
God gave us the Holy Spirit to help us know two books: the word of God and the book of our life’s story. Because heaven resides outside of time, your future is now. God does not intend for you to be devastated or to fail. Jesus has already won a mighty victory for you and your destiny. He came to give you an exceedingly abundant life. You don’t have to allow the enemy to destroy your destiny.
The key to succeeding is yielding, make yourself available for his purposes by obeying and praying in the spirit, and the word of God will slowly change you into the very thing you are speaking and obeying.
When you speak and pray, a shock wave is released from the inside of you because of the authority given to you to operate in his kingdom as an ambassador.
The revelation of God’s word you walk in directly affects the scope of your spirit man’s authority, surroundings, and influence in the kingdom.
For example, your level of authority extends out so many feet around you based upon your level of spiritual growth and/or authority. The new agers call it ora; people walking within those perimeters will be under your spiritual influence and encounter the power and authority you walk in. To extend it, all one needs to do is attend to your spiritual life by feeding your heart with truth and living uprightly before him. That’s preparing your natural environment to support your spiritual growth.
That means sometimes you must eliminate some things and even people from your life and other things to reach the desired results. Things that are okay for some to do may not be okay for you to do. God wants to create the right environment for you to grow and function correctly in his perfect will for you; however, you must do your part as well.
John 16:33
33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
The overcoming power Jesus used to escape from the depths of hell was placed inside you when you were born of the spirit of God. You merely need to yield to what Jesus attained for you.
Philippians 3:12
12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.
The victory is already inside you, this is what Paul is saying when I believe it and speak it, it will begin to possess you and you can release it. Demons will try to discourage and hinder you just as they did Jesus during the time he spent in hell, but like him you have the power to overcome every adversity and circumstances that stands between you and victory. Peter tells us this that the torments of hell can happen to you here on the earth.
1 Peter 4:12-14
12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
You notice he said glory and not presence. The lord’s presence is always with you to bless you, but his glory comes to change you, and it is always on the heels of suffering or after you have suffered. In another place, Peter says your faith is being tried; that’s what you believe. Overcoming hell with heaven’s truth will require conviction and intensity on your part; the bible calls this zeal. You must enforce your victory over the enemy; if you don’t, not only will he stay, but he will also take more ground in your life. You must live with God’s purpose as the center of your life and become a warrior who imposes God’s purpose with intensity. Because the Holy Spirit will lead you in various directions to free you from the world’s system, at times, it may seem illogical, but god ways are not ours. This is called sanctification.
2 Corinthians 6:17
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
2 Corinthians 7:1
7 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
You need to understand it’s not the quantity of life that helps us finish our course; it's the quality of life one of obedience. The Lord will allow very difficult situations into your life to develop you. He knows the preparation you need for the future he has planned for you. Allow him to work his plan in your life. If we yield to him purifying our soul, he will take us to places we never thought possible. Where he’s taking us can be accessed only by following his spirit. Allow him to prepare you for what is to come. He will give you access to the spirit as you yield your spirit, soul, and body to him. Impossible situations prepare you for the supernatural.
When you find yourself in a position of weakness, the power of God makes it into a strength; why does God do it that way? It is because he cannot use people who depend on their own abilities. You qualify for his power only when you are in a place of weakness and humility, out of alternatives yet trusting in him.
2 Corinthians 12:7
7 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.
8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.
9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
Here is the simple lesson that Paul finally learned: Satan cometh immediately when much word comes to you. So, the father did not stop it he allowed the enemy to buffet or beat up on him and it exposed all of his weaknesses over time. He saw when the power of God did not come and bail him out all the time how much his flesh reacted contrary to what Holy Spirit was trying to teach him. (Now understand the New Testament is not yet written; this is on-the-job training for Paul). He learned the power of God rested or came more heavily when his flesh wanted to do the opposite of what Holy Spirit was leading because it was at that point he was the most helpless The lord may put you in situations that are beyond your skills and talents, but he will never place you in circumstances beyond your ability as a spirit being. He’s waiting for you to invite him into your circumstances.
Ephesians 3:17-20
17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
Now we know that the word of God has multi levels of revelation so what is he say to us concerning faith? Firstly believe that Christ is inside you even if there is no physical evidence of it, secondly believe what his word is revealing to you concerning this Christ it true, thirdly believe what this Christ is saying about you in him is true. And with this revelation you will begin to comprehend)
18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
(of what: love, knowing Christ I’m talking about beyond the new birth releases in you Christ greatest weapon, love)
19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. (what is the fullness of God ? Christ what is the fullness of Christ: love)
20 Now unto him(who is love) that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power(or degree of love) that worketh in us,
Brothers and sisters, it is the love of God that will restore your soul. Once you are firmly persuaded of God’s goodness and love for you, that his desire is to fill you with his fullness, and that he will reward your efforts in seeking him, there will be no more hesitation on your part in doing what he says. You must be persuaded, as Paul says, that nothing is insignificant to the lord.
